Why is time management important?

In every person's life there is an aim that everyone wants to achieve. If you are a student you have to prepare for your upcoming exams, if you work in an office you have to complete your project or assignment. We always think that we will do it later but later on we try to shift the work for the next moment. This process is known as ‘Procrastination’. In a study discount that 80 to 90% of college students procrastinate for their studies. But the reality is that if you want to save your time you should complete your work at the right time. For a job seeker time management is important as if he completes his task at the right time he will get the next opportunity further.

Reason behind Procrastination

Procrastination is common in everybody's life. There is no end of procrastination. In most of the cases we see that it is an infinite loop. Procrastination can be ended by giving a Deadline to that project. Human nature always waits for a deadline to complete the task. If the deadline is very far from today, human nature allows us to do that task slowly. But if the deadline is near, human nature pressurises us to do it more efficiently and quickly. Students always wait for the datesheet to prepare their exam and employees always wait for the deadline to submit his project. This is the best example of procrastination.

Side effects of procrastination

Procrastination always leads to anxiety and regret. For example, a student makes a resolution that this year he will come first in his class. But during his class time he always procrastinates his study. At the end when exams come he feels regret and anxiety. Same regret is seen in people of 40 to 50 age who want to become a writer, photographer, cricketer or athlete in his early ages but due to some circumstances they do not complete their wishes. People always blame the circumstances of his or her life for their procrastination. This is not right. Everybody's life is full of struggle. How they handle the task is the real solution of procrastination.
