Power of Truth
Rohan lived with his old grandfather, a retired schoolteacher. There is only one problem is that Rohan is not getting a perfect job to earn money. But, from a very young age, Rohan’s grandfather taught him that the truth is like a lamp that shines in the darkness. No matter how hard things get, telling the truth always leads to a brighter path. Rohan kept this lesson deep in his heart.
One day, Rohan was playing near the village river when he noticed something shining in the water. Curious, he stepped closer and pulled out a beautiful gold bracelet. It was clearly very valuable. The bracelet had a tiny name engraved on it, "Meera." Rohan wondered who it belonged to. He thought about keeping it for himself, but he remembered his grandfather’s words about the power of truth. So he decided to find its owner.
Rohan walked from house to house, asking if anyone had lost a gold bracelet named "Meera." Suddenly, an old woman came rushing towards him. "My dear boy, I lost this bracelet yesterday. It belonged to my late daughter, and it means the world to me!" she said, with tears in her eyes.
Rohan smiled and handed the bracelet to the old woman. "Here it is, Aunty. I am happy that it is back with its rightful owner." The old woman was deeply touched. "Thank you, my boy. You have a heart of gold, just like this bracelet. May your honesty always guide you to happiness!"
A few days later, a wealthy merchant came to the village looking for an honest boy to work in his shop. The old woman shared Rohan’s story with him. Impressed by the boy’s character, the merchant called Rohan and offered him a job. This is how Rohan got the job due to his good nature and the power of truth taught by his grandfather. Rohan worked diligently and honestly every day, and soon earned the merchant’s trust and respect.
Through the years, Rohan became the merchant’s right hand and eventually a trusted partner. Even after achieving great success, Rohan never forgot the lesson he learned from his grandfather — that the truth shines brighter than any jewel. He taught the same lesson to others, making the village a better and more honest place for everyone.
